Journal of Pragmatics and Discourse Research (JPDR) is an international, peer-reviewed journal focusing on discourse studies, pragmatics, and linguistics, particularly at the intersection of culture, religion, and social dynamics in Asia. It publishes various types of scholarly works, including research articles, book reviews, and commentaries, with an emphasis on critical discourse analysis, gender representation, social justice, and the role of language in shaping society. Accredited as SINTA 3 since 2021 and maintaining this status until 2029, JPDR is indexed in Dimensions, ICI Copernicus, and other international databases, with 81 citations in Scopus publications. Over the past three years, the journal has attracted authors from 10 different countries, reflecting its growing impact in global academic discussions.

The journal welcomes submissions on the following topics, among others:
JPDR encourages thorough research that uses methods like discourse analysis, critical discourse analysis, pragmatics, socio-pragmatics, narrative analysis, ethnography, corpus approaches, and mixed methods, as long as language is considered a practice linked to society that has real impacts.
JPDR has been accredited SINTA 3 (2023) by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, the Republic of Indonesia, started from Volume 1 Number 1 (2021). Then in the accreditation submission in 2024, JPDR remains in SINTA 3 starting from Volume 4 Number 2 Year 2024 until Volume 9 Number 1 Year 2029. In addition, the Journal of Pragmatics and Discourse Research has also been indexed in dimensions, ICI Copernicus and several other International indexers. Indexation can be seen on the foot page of this journal.
Currently, articles published by the JPDR have been cited in Scopus publications as many as 142 citations. It can be seen at the following link. The first authors, or co-authors, of this journal came from 10 different countries during its three years of publication: Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Thailand, South Africa, Taiwan, Japan, the United States, Norway, Scotland, China, and Morocco.
