Journal of Pragmatics and Discourse Research (JPDR) (2828-4755) is a global, peer-reviewed publication focused on promoting research that connects pragmatics with discourse studies. The journal provides an interdisciplinary forum for analyzing the operation of language across various levels of interaction, including text, conversation, and broad social, cultural, educational, and political contexts. It specifically appreciates works that illustrate the intricate interplay and promote theoretically grounded and experimentally validated research, thereby enhancing our comprehension of how language shapes, negotiates, and transforms social realities. Submissions may concentrate on various linguistic and cultural contexts of analysis, encompassing global Englishes, heritage and minority languages, local vernaculars, and endangered languages to demonstrate the dynamic interplay between language usage, cognition, and society. In addition to original research articles, JPDR also publishes review articles, theoretical papers, and academic commentaries that provide new perspectives on the changing connections between pragmatics, discourse, and culture. JPDR is published biannually (January–February and July–August) and upholds a robust dedication to editorial precision and scholarly integrity. The journal is indexed in Dimensions, ICI Copernicus, and many other global citation databases. It has SINTA 3 accreditation (2021–2029). JPDR is expanding its international prominence as a reputable forum for discourse-pragmatics, evidenced by over 130 citations from Scopus-listed papers and contributions from researchers across 17 countries, connecting local linguistic concerns to global theoretical dialogues.
