Correction and Retraction

Correction and Retraction Policy

The JPDR journal is firmly committed to maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the scholarly record. To ensure this, the journal may publish Errata, Expressions of Concern, or Retraction Notices as deemed appropriate and in alignment with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Retraction Guidelines.

Types of Corrections and Retractions

1. Errata: Published to correct significant errors in articles that may affect the interpretation of the content but do not compromise the integrity of the research.

2. Expressions of Concern: Issued when there is uncertainty about the integrity or reliability of a published article and an investigation is ongoing.

3. Retraction Notices: Published to formally withdraw a paper from the scholarly record due to substantial issues such as plagiarism, unethical research practices, data fabrication, or other breaches of academic integrity.

Procedures

1. Corrections and retractions will be handled transparently and promptly.

2. Each case will be assessed individually, guided by COPE’s best practices and ethical standards.

3. The reason for issuing a correction or retraction will be clearly stated in the corresponding notice.
