Onomastics is a journal that focuses on the study of toponymy and onomastics, specifically related to: Odonym, Anthroponym, Charactonym, Choronym, Cryptonym, Endonym, Ethnonym, Exonym, Hodonym, Hydronym, Matronym, Metronym, Necronym, Patronym, Toponym and Zoonym.
Onomastics its content mainly comprised current international onomastic bibliographies. Since that issue, Onomastics has been inviting topical research reports as well as articles and reviews of general, theoretical and historical interest concerning all areas of scholarly name research. Onomastics accepts studies written in English, and Indonesian, which are double-blind peer-reviewed, following the highest standards of current international practice.
