- Multicultural and Local Discourse Studies in Asia: This focus examines how language and discourse are shaped in the context of cultural and religious traditions in Asia, exploring traditional texts such as religious rituals, customary ceremonies, and local cultural texts that play an important role in social life. This includes studies of religious texts (e.g., Islamic, Hindu, Buddhist texts), as well as traditional rituals that represent the diversity of Asian cultures. This research looks not only at the continuity of these discourses, but also at how they change amidst modernization, urbanization, and the influence of globalization.
- Interdisciplinary Approaches to Discourse Analysis in Education and Religion in Asia: This focus explores the application of discourse analysis in education in Asia, including how religious discourse is taught in both formal and non-formal educational contexts. The use of digital media in delivering religious texts, educational ethics, and discourse-based teaching are also part of this focus. In addition, this approach includes the use of digital media to promote interfaith understanding, and how religious teachings can be integrated with modern educational strategies in Asia.

Some policies in the review of JPDR:
- The reviewers will review the submitted article that follows the guidelines and template of the journal provided.
- The review process in this journal employs a double-blind peer review, which means that both the reviewer's and author's identities are concealed from the reviewers.
- In the review process, the article will be reviewed by at least two reviewers to ensure quality of the article.
- In the review process, the reviewers ensure the quality of the articles of their title, abstract, discussion, and conclusion. Besides, the reviewers also address the novelty and its contribution to the scientific discussion and verify the plagiarism and ethics of publication.
- The reviewer also provides feedback on whether the article is accepted, rejected, or needs minor or major revision.
